FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HEARING PROTECTION

Our FAQ on hearing protection is for those seeking advice on choosing and using hearing protection correctly. It includes tips on how to best maintain your earmuffs and utilize features like Bluetooth and ambient listening, ensuring you can work safely and comfortably.

Hearing protection should be used when you are exposed to noise levels above the threshold value of 85 dB during a workday. It is crucial to protect your hearing from harmful noise levels to prevent hearing damage.

Hearing is one of your most important senses, and it is vital to protect it in the best way. 100% usage is essential, and if hearing protection is used all day, it must fit perfectly and make you feel satisfied and comfortable. Start by choosing the type of protection, whether electronic earmuffs or passive hearing protectors, then select the model and function. Here is a simple guide to help you choose the right hearing protection for you.

Hearing protection with electronics are ideal for environments where you need to be aware of your surroundings, listen to music, radio, or communicate with others while protecting your hearing. Common features include Bluetooth for mobile phone connection, level-dependent ambient listening to hear surrounding sounds, and noise-canceling boom microphones for communication in loud environments. Earplugs are small, easy-to-use protectors that fit directly into the ear canal to block harmful sounds. Choose high-quality earplugs without silicone as these provide good and even attenuation at both high and low frequencies, allowing for natural sound reproduction. A good earplug has well-balanced expansion, contributing to both high safety and comfort. Learn more about our earplugs by CLICKING HERE.

To answer calls, briefly press the On/Off button. You can also end calls with the same button. The earmuffs have a built-in microphone for phone calls, and for better speech recognition in noisy environments, there is a boom microphone.

The sealing rings should be replaced when they show signs of wear or when comfort or sound insulation deteriorates. We recommend replacing them once or twice a year or when they feel hard and no longer form well to the head.

Ensure that the microphone is oriented correctly. The beveled side should face the mouth.

Always use the earmuffs in noisy environments for full protection, adjust the volume so you can hear warning signals, avoid use in potentially explosive atmospheres, and ensure the earmuffs are not negatively affected by chemical substances. Regularly inspect for wear and keep them clean.
